Dear Carolina review

Dear Carolina by Kristy Woodson Harvey

I know, it has certainly been a while since I’ve posted…so sorry! With school starting back up, I have been unable to read as much as I would’ve liked to, but I finally took some time and grabbed a great book from a friend!

Kristy Woodson Harvey is a local author to me. A fellow North Carolinian, she wrote this debut novel starring gripping characters with complex lives. Jodi finds herself in a position of having a child, yet struggling to raise her. Frances “Khaki” Mason (cousin by marriage) has a child, but desperately wants to continue to grow her family. This is a gripping tale of a family the hardships they had to endure, and the glamorous way they learned to build the family they always wanted to have.

If you’ve never read a book by Kristy Woodson Harvey, this should definitely be one you pick up!
